A very early GAN6 example

Old Yeller is a very early (chassis prefix GAN6) Sprite Mk1. This little car is new to the workshop - and I am trying to work out what to do with her.
The monocoque is in great condition, with solid floors and very little corrosion showing. With such a simple little car it should be possible to tear it all down and get the body professionally restored and painted in original cellulose 'Highway Yellow' - and this seems like the most sensible thing to do.
This car will need attention to detail, including original Mk2 Sprite instruments, a repaired wiring loom and replacement of the alternator with a restored dynamo - to bring it back to being 'period correct'.

A massive history file

Old Yellow has a huge history file that has been very carefully curated by the previous owner. It is a true survivor and as such needs careful restoration or refurbishment. It could be kept as it is with its charmingly tatty appearance and worn seats.

More to follow

I will post more updates and images here as and when I make progress with this lovely Gan6 Sprite.
